With over 4,000 institutions of higher education, there are so many options for students and their families to choose from. With a pool that big, the odds of selecting the right school without guidance are not in your favor. Throw all of the variables associated with athletics into the mix, and those odds look even worse. With so many options, it’s hard to stay organized and easy to become overwhelmed.

With a caseload this large, high school guidance counselors simply aren’t able to give their students the individualized help they desperately need and desire. Even if that ratio was 100-1, it would still be extremely difficult for them to individualize their guidance to each student’s unique needs.
